- Hand Crafted Glass Mosaic Mirror

Designed by artist Sandy Japely, this mirror was crafted as a one-of-a-kind for the Deschutes River Alliance Auction. All work is handmade – each piece of glass is hand cut, then glued to the wood base and carefully grouted. The glass includes millefiori glass brought back from Murano, Italy by the artist.
- A Mt. Hood Play Break For Two
Donors: The Resort at the Mountain and El Burro Loco Restaurant
Take a break from the city and venture to Welches in the Hoodland area. Play 18 holes of golf, complete with a cart, at the Resort at the Mountain and then spend the night at the Resort. Mix in dinner at Welches’ El Burro Loco Restaurant.

32 of Brian Silvey’s favorite summer steelhead patterns tied by the master guide and tyer himself. Patterns include many Brian invented, as well as some designed by others that Brian has adapted to better fool fish. Tied on the highest quality of hooks and including hard to find materials, these flies are specially suited for Deschutes River summer steelhead. Come in a Wheatley box.
- Granger Denver Special Bamboo Fly Rod
Donor: Larry Marxer
This 8 ft. 6 in. three-piece bamboo rod was built sometime between 1926 and 1931, and was professionally rebuilt around 2000. It’s a rarity to find this vintage rod in such excellent condition. The rod throws a 5/6 line with a nice, smooth action.
Minimum starting bid is $300.
- Float and Fish the Serene Waters of the Upper Deschutes

Two anglers join The Fly Fisher’s Place senior guide, Steve Erickson for a day on the upper Deschutes below Wickiup Reservoir. This section of the river has recovered from the fish kills of a few years ago, holds a surprising number of browns and rainbows up to 20 inches and is not highly pressured. Hatches are consistent and the fish willing!
- Take a Mid-Week Break on the Deschutes

Two anglers join John “Smerf” Smeraglio for a couple of half-day trout fishing sessions in the Maupin area. Start with an afternoon/evening session, then hit the Riverside Restaurant for dinner and spend the night at the Imperial River Company. Fish the next day with Smerf and then come home. You will hardly be missed while on your mid-week break!

Depending on the size and intricacy, Carol Horvath’s display baskets sell from $300 to $1,000 and are veritable pieces of art. The organic willow she uses is specially grown in Amity, OR, and she personally collects and selects the driftwood from Oregon’s beaches. Carol has been weaving baskets for over 20 years and teaches basketry for the Columbia Basin Basketry Guild.
